Lloyd’s Register certifies FP32 SPDs for offshore ships and floating platforms
2009 09 16Cooper Crouse-Hinds MTL, is pleased to announce the FP32 Surge Protector has been certified for ENV3 environmental conditions as described in Lloyd’s Register Test Specification Number 1, 2002. Inspired by customer requests, CCH MTL have had the FP32 surge protector approved for use “on board” ships and floating platforms. This will allow companies the ability to protect critical and sensitive electronics in their offshore applications. Lloyd’s Register is the benchmark approval for products being used offshore and as such the FP32 has had to undergo rigorous environmental testing to gain accreditation. The FP32 will be used in control rooms and in field junction boxes to protect Foundation Fieldbus and sensitive electronics ensuring the maximum possible system availability.
