MTL and Relcom fieldbus
power supplies provide reliable power for fieldbus networks
in safe and hazardous areas. All types incorporate isolation
between bulk power supply and the fieldbus wiring, to prevent
segment failure in the event of multiple ground faults.
Non-redundant, general purpose applications
The compact, DIN-rail mounted MTL5995
isolated power supply has become the established industry
standard for general purpose fieldbus applications. The FPS-D/DT
dual power supply powers two independent fieldbus segments
from a single module carrier, and provides easy interconnection
of bulk power supplies in multi-segment installations.
Redundant, general purpose applications
For applications requiring high system availability, the established
FPS-Series Redundant Power System includes redundant, isolated
power conditioning modules and comprehensive alarm monitoring.
The F600A,
F650A and
F690A variants
are available for integration into fieldbus control
systems. Large-scale fieldbus installations will benefit from
the new F800
Series Redundant Power System, which delivers the highest
levels of reliability in a compact, high-density format.
Hazardous area applications
FISCO (Fieldbus Intrinsically
Safe COncept) power supplies provide power and signal repeater
functions for an intrinsically safe bus in Zone 1 and Division 1 hazardous
areas, using the same simple network design rules as general
purpose fieldbus
For applications in Zone 2 and Division 2 hazardous areas,
MTL's unique FNICO
(Fieldbus Non-Incendive COncept) power supplies deliver all
the benefits of FISCO, together with a wider choice of compatible
field instruments and more instruments per fieldbus trunk.
