Detector Electronics Corporation
(Det-Tronics), the market leading developer and manufacturer
of optical flame detection and gas detection solutions,
have announced that they have entered into an agreement
with MTL Open System Technologies (MOST), a leading supplier
of open hardware and software technology-based components
for the process automation market. The two companies will
work together to provide customers with a comprehensive
fire and gas safety solution for high hazard applications.
Det-Tronics will incorporate MOST Logic Controllers, MOST
Process I/O and MOST Logic Control Software with their
flame and gas detectors to provide a complete hard-wired
fire and gas protection system. With this enhanced offering,
Det-Tronics is now able to expand their fire and gas system
detection offering to their customers in the Fire &
Gas protection market.
The partnership with Det-Tronics extends the capability
of the MOST open system component offering from the Process
Control market place into the Fire & Gas market. When
used with Det-Tronics’ flame and gas detectors,
MOST components can now be used to provide comprehensive
solutions encompassing fire protection and process control
applications. By bringing together the strengths of MOST’s
Open Control Platform with Det-Tronics’ Fire &
Gas sensors and systems to provide a comprehensive solution
for customers’ requiring applications ranging from
Fire & Gas to Process Control. |
