announces the launch of a new range of compact HART®
Maintenance Units (HMUs) that simplify the connection
of HART field devices to predictive maintenance software
packages such as AMS, Cornerstone™ or PRM. With
all the key components on one board, they provide the
ideal solution for applications requiring up to 32 HART
loops. Designed for Safe Area/General Purpose applications,
the HMUs provide access to the data stored within HART
field devices, which is essential in obtaining the full
range of benefits that HART intelligence and communication
provide.
The on-board, SIL 3 certified,
HART multiplexers extract the HART information without
affecting the analogue signal, which passes directly to
the DCS or PLC. The HART signal can then be made available
to one of the many powerful asset management software
packages available on the market today, enabling HART
users to simplify procedures and reduce costs. Utilising
HART online has been shown to provide real cost savings
on commissioning, configuration, maintenance, diagnostics
and documentation.
Standard units are available
in 16 or 32 channel configurations for Analogue Inputs/Outputs
or Analogue Outputs with HART filtering. Custom options
can modify the channel mix or add further signal conditioning.
In addition, each HMU has a dual connection, variable
baud rate RS485 port; power conditioning and expansion
ports for “daisy chaining” other HMUs. |
