The agenda for the two-day course includes:
Flammable hazards and explosions; behaviour
of flammable gases and dusts; review of current area classification
practice; methods of protection for hazardous areas; standards,
certification and other relevant regulations and codes of
practice; introduction to intrinsic safety; installation,
inspection, maintenance and fault-finding, including legal
obligations; applications using barriers and isolators, "Smart"
field devices and intrinsic safety; fieldbus and remote I/O
systems in hazardous areas; applications of IS equipment where
combustible dust is encountered.
The seminar is targeted at electrical and
instrument engineers, technicians and other qualified engineers
and its use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Each delegate will be provided with a workbook
containing a copy of the presentation materials used during
the seminar, along with other relevant literature.
