The MTL Instruments Group plc ("MTL" or the "Company") announces that it was notified on 9 February 2006 that on 7 February 2006 F&C Asset Management plc sold 150,000 ordinary shares in MTL and as a result no longer has a material interest in the issued share capital of the Company.
